Injury Crash on Highway 169 Near Milaca Involves Two Vehicles
On March 23, 2025, at approximately 3:16 PM, a traffic collision occurred on southbound Highway 169 near Central Avenue in Milaca Township, Mille Lacs County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2025 Kia Sportage was traveling southbound while a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, moving northbound, was slowing to turn west onto Central Avenue. The two vehicles collided and came to rest in the southwest ditch. The road conditions were dry at the time of the incident, and all individuals involved were wearing seat belts. The airbag in the Kia Sportage deployed during the crash.
The driver of the Kia Sportage, 53-year-old Mike Allen Anderson of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and his passenger, 20-year-old Calib Robert Anderson, also of Brooklyn Park, sustained no injuries. Another passenger, 83-year-old Judy May Anderson of Aitkin, Minnesota, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Princeton Hospital. The driver of the Dodge Grand Caravan, 76-year-old David Leroy Oldenburg of Milaca, Minnesota, also reported no injuries. Emergency responders, including the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office, Milaca Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance, attended the scene.
