Motorcyclist Ian Harvey Killed in Peoria, Illinois Crash Involving Unlicensed Juvenile Driver

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, a multi-vehicle crash in Peoria, Illinois resulted in the death of 25-year-old motorcyclist Ian Harvey from East Peoria. According to Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood, Harvey suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries and died instantly at the scene.

The Illinois State Police reported that an unlicensed juvenile driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of North University and West Hudson streets, colliding with Harvey's motorcycle. After the initial impact, Harvey was thrown from his motorcycle and struck by a third vehicle. The incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police, and a toxicology test is pending as required by state law.
