David Reid Fatal Car Accident in Poinsett County, Arkansas: March 19, 2025 Incident Details

On March 19, 2025, at approximately 12 p.m., a three-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of State Highway 1 and State Highway 158 in rural Poinsett County, Arkansas. According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash involved a 2007 GMC Sierra driven by Ty Henderson, 19, of Wynne; a 2004 Chevrolet towing a trailer; and a 2019 Lincoln operated by David Reid, 72, of Jonesboro. Investigators reported that Henderson attempted to overtake another vehicle while traveling northbound, sideswiping the Chevrolet before crossing the centerline and striking Reid’s Lincoln head-on in the southbound lane.

David Reid was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Linda Ross, 74, sustained injuries, as did Henderson. The driver of the Chevrolet was not identified in official reports.
