Anthony Banuelos Fatally Shot Outside Tulsa QuikTrip on March 23, 2025

On March 23, 2025, a shooting occurred outside a QuikTrip convenience store in Tulsa, Oklahoma, resulting in the death of Anthony Banuelos, a 22-year-old Tulsa resident. The incident took place at approximately 7:45 p.m. in the parking lot near the intersection of 11th Street and Garnett Road. Tulsa Police Department reports indicate that Banuelos and another individual were involved in a physical altercation inside a vehicle. During this altercation, both individuals fell out of the car, and the suspect shot Banuelos before fleeing the scene.

Emergency services transported Banuelos to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The suspect surrendered to the Tulsa Police Department, underwent questioning, and was released pending further investigation. The case has been forwarded to the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office to determine whether charges will be filed.
